I was happy that those other very negative reviews were wrong. Casa del Caribe is perfectly adequate considering the price. And the location--in Condado--was great! Yes, I had to jiggle the light switch to make the lights come on, and yes, the water in the shower was hard to adjust. But considering what I paid, I was happy to be a little rustic for a couple of days.

The coffee at breakfast wasn't to my taste, but there is a Starbuck's across the street. Although I called from the airport, as instructed, I stood on the sidewalk for 20-25 minutes while waiting for someone to let me in. (There is nobody at the desk after five or six p.m.) I hope they will kick in a few extra dollars to get a router that will get the wireless signal throughout the property--not just in the commons area.

The people there were outstanding hosts and very helpful in letting us know where to go for our entertainment on the island. If you have people who want to be located in the entertainment district of the island at a low cost, this will be the hotel to go to.

The place was essentially clean, but had a moldy smell in the rooms and I found a roach in the closet. Due to the humid coditions in the rooms we had a difficult time taking showers without continuing to sweat, but overall the people who run the hotel were very nice.

The breakfast was amazing with orange juice and the pastries and the standard milk, no reason to complain. I liked the room, the bed was comfortable. Location: the hotel was close enough to beaches, food, and old San Juan as well as a garden;))

Newly renovated, spacious room that felt luxurious. 🌟 the overall ambiance was elegant and upscale.

I liked the the fact that the room was dark at night and very quiet.

The bedroom toilet didn't flush very well.

Liked:-proximity to dining opportunities, to the beach and public transportation. The Casa could/should capitalize on its proximity to Ashford Avenue which is the main street in the Condado area.

Opportunities for improvement:-an effort to improve the offerings at the :"Continental Breakfast" would have been welcome. My wife & I chose to go out for breakfast most mornings. We are not - cornflakes in a box - type people.

This place is stylish and clean with an excellent location in a good neighborhood, offering beautiful rooms and delicious food for dinner and breakfast.

The WiFi was free. The price was reasonable. They let us leave our luggage there until check in time. Gave us Info on the bus schedule to Old San Juan. Felt secure with the locked gate. Nice chocolate confection on check out.

Coffee was not good. If we hadn't arrived before 5 Pm we would have had to make an international call to get someone to check in.

Friendly staff and a warm welcome were a plus. the pool was a great spot to chill 😊. During my 5-night stay, I enjoyed delicious meals at the on-site restaurant.

Only good thing of hotel is the location its a block away from the beach casinos and other tourist areas.

No staff after a certain hour. No one was there to check me in. The prices were too high. More variety for breakfast would of been nice. Hotel needs a makeover and needs to be updated.

The location was Great... It was so close to the beach, it was very quiet and the room was tidied and beds made daily.

* The first night we didn't have any power. We then asked for a discount rate for that night or for a night we wanted to add on to our booking. They declined. We paid 25 dollars in candles/torches and they would not help out. The lady at the front desk was hopeless and would not give any information about the city. We even got charged an energy consumption rate daily and we didnt even have power the first night!!!
